Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Program (BVP)
The Bulletproof Vest Partnership Act of 2000 was enacted to save the lives of officers by helping to equip state, local, and tribal law enforcement officials with ballistic and stab resistant vests. This program provides priority funding to jurisdictions with less than 100,000 persons and will pay up to 50% of the total vest cost. The West Virginia Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) applies on behalf of state agencies only. Local law enforcement agencies should make application for this funding directly to the Office of Justice Programs.
